The Sandlot is on ABC family right now. I forgot how great this movie is. Also, Denis Leary is in it, which I never realized before.
Anyway, my favorite sports related movies in no particular order:
The Sandlot
A League of Their Own (Are you crying? there's no crying in baseball!)
Rookie of the Year (don't judge, this is a GREAT movie)
Angels in the Outfield
Varsity Blues
Rudy (the real Rudy came and gave us a motivational talk when I was in middle school)
Major League I and II (what, I'm from Cleveland, these are practically required)
And I realize most of those are baseball movies, but whatever.

Major League-far and away my favorite sports movie. And not just because I saw it in the theaters when I was 7. (First 'R' movie.) And Major League 2 was awful, but props to them for providing America with a fictional Hideki Matsui 10 years before the real Matsui.
Is Big Lebowski a bowling movie? Is bowling a sport? If the answer to both of those are yes, then big lebowski is the greatest sports movie ever simply by being the greatest movie ever. And screw Yinzer and whatever reply he has to Lebowski being great.
