Cleveland Cavaliers @ Boston Celtics

Spread: Celtics -17.0

Over/Under: 214.0

The Celtics have been on a hot streak as of late, winning 4 straight games and going 7-3 in their last 10. Kyrie Irving has started to understand more and more what it means to be a leader and how to take a team with a lot of young talent to the next level. But it is hard to beat any NBA team by more than 17 points. Yes, the Cavs have the worst record in the NBA, but they at least keep themselves close in a lot of games. The Cavs have covered the spread in their last 3 away games, and I think they can do it again here.

Spread: Cavaliers +17

O/U: Under 214.0

Outright Winner: Celtics

Houston Rockets @ New York Knicks

Spread: Rockets -8.0

Over/Under: 226.5

James Harden has been playing out of his mind as of late. Now, he gets to step up to the spotlight playing in the Garden. But, the Rockets have not been able to cover the spread in their last 2 games because of the injuries to Chris Paul and Clint Capela. James is a lone ranger out there and is forced to be a one dimensional offense. The Knicks will be at an advantage in this game because of their ability not to turn over the ball. 4th in the league with only 13.3 turnovers per game will keep the ball away from Houston and slow down the very fast-paced Rockets offense.

Spread: Knicks +8.0

Over/Under: Over 226.5

Outright Winner: Rockets

San Antonio Spurs @ Philadelphia 76ers

Spread: 76ers -3.5

Over/Under: 225.5

First off, the Sixers have covered the spread in 3 out of their last 4 games. Now, they are on an extra day of rest, giving them time to recover for the fast pace they like to play. Philly’s Joel Embiid has been playing very well this season, averaging 27 points and 13 rebounds. The Spurs have no one in the front court that can match up with Embiid. Additionally, the Sixers get to the line more than anyone else in the NBA, averaging about 27 free throws attempted per game. Of those attempts, they make the second most in the league at about 22 free throws made per game. Of everything, Philly’s aggressiveness when getting to the basket is what is going to win them this game.

Spread: 76ers -3.5

Over/Under: Over 225.5

Outright Winner: 76ers
