NBA Hit or Miss January 27th, 2019

Good things happen to those who keep betting. 3-0 last night, let’s keep this ball rolling.

Cleveland Cavaliers @ Chicago Bulls

Spread: Bulls -4.5

O/U: 210.0

Probably one of the most uninteresting games you can watch this season. These two teams have a combined record of 20-79. Both teams are at the bottom half of the league in pace: Cavs ranking 29th and the Bulls ranking 21st. The Cavaliers are currently on a 6 games losing streak, losing by an average of 16.5 points. The Cavs have been one of the worst shooting teams this season, averaging an abysmal 44.2%. It shouldn’t be too hard for the Bulls to cover this one at home.

Spread: Bulls -4.5

O/U: Under 210.0

Winner: Bulls

Miami Heat @ New York Knicks

Spread: Heat -5.0

O/U: 210.5

The Miami Heat are currently 14-9 against the spread on away games so far this season. Meanwhile, the Knicks are 8-11-1 at home against the spread. The Knicks have lost 8 straight games and rank 30th in the NBA in FG % at 43.2%. Miami is known for being a very good defensive team, Erik Spoelstra preaches it everyday, so they should be able to keep the Knicks from scoring a lot of points. The Heat rank 6th in defensive rating at 107.1. This should be an easy cover for the Heat.

Spread: Heat -5.0

O/U: Under 210.5

Winner: Heat

Milwaukee Bucks @ Oklahoma City Thunder

Spread: Bucks -1.0

O/U: 234.5

This should be a great game between two of the fastest paced teams in the league. The Bucks have the 5th highest pace in the league with 102.7 possessions per game; OKC ranked 3rd at 103.4. This game is going to come down to who is more effective on the offensive end and all season that has been the Bucks. The Bucks are 4th in offensive efficiency at 113.8. The Thunder are ranked 16th, lower than I would have guessed. I think this is going to be a great game, but the Bucks will take it.

Spread: Bucks -1

O/U: Over 234.5

Winner: Bucks
