NBA Hit or Miss February 6th, 2019

2-1 yesterday and looking to make it 3-0 tonight.

San Antonio Spurs @ Golden State Warriors

Spread: Warriors -11.0

O/U: 230.5

The Spurs are coming of a hard loss to the Sacramento Kings and don’t seem to have an identity right now. The Warriors, however, know exactly who they are: the big bad bullies of the NBA. Golden State has won 13 of their last 14 games, and have clearly established themselves as the best team in the league. The Warriors boast the best shooting percentage in the NBA and lead the league in assists per game. The Warriors are 2nd in the league in 3 point %, only behind the Spurs actually. But there is something about when the Warriors play at home that make them, in my eyes, the best team of all time. When Oracle arena starts rolling after back to back threes, it looks like the other team just becomes lost. I liken it to when a quarterback can’t communicate with the rest of his offense. The Warriors just seem unstoppable right now and I will never bet against them. Also, they've had back to back games hitting the under. The Warriors have gone all season without three straight games going under, so it would be a safe bet to put some money on the over.

Spread: Warriors -11.0

O/U: Over 230.5

Washington Wizards @ Milwaukee Bucks

Spread: Bucks -11.5

O/U: 230.0

When these two teams played each other on Saturday, the Bucks won the game 131-115. That was in D.C and now they’re in Milwaukee, but the outcome should be very similar. With John Wall out after tearing his achilles, Washington will have a rough rest of the season. Bradley Beal is not used to being “the guy” on the court. Now he is going to have to put the team on his back for the rest of the season. He starts against the 1 seed in the East. The Bucks rank 2nd in both FG% (48.0) and made 3 pointers per game (13.2). The Wizard just don’t have enough fire power on offense to keep up with Giannis and company. They only shoot 34.4% (23rd) in 3 point percentage and make a two less 3 pointers per game than the Bucks. The biggest disadvantage for the Wizards is going to come on the boards. The Bucks are 1st in the NBA in total rebounds per game (49.0), while the Wizards only rank 28th (40.8). The Bucks should take this game easy. And it should be a high scoring affair like the last time these two played.

Spread: Buck -11.5

O/U: Under 230.0

Winner: Bucks

Denver Nuggets @ Brooklyn Nets

Spread: Nuggets -3.5

O/U: 225.5G

The Nuggets have won 8 of their last 10 games and look very impressive as of late. The Nets have had some issues since their leader Spencer Dinwiddie went down with an injury; Brooklyn has lost 3 straight games. The Nuggets should be able to take advantage of the offensive rebounding tonight; they lead the league in offensive rebounds per game (12.2). Nikola Jokic is having a fantastic year for the Nuggets, averaging a double double. The 7 feet center is also averaging 7.7 assist per game, helping the Nuggets to second place in the NBA in assist per game.  If it wasn’t for James Harden’s historic campaign, I would have Jokic as my MVP of the league right now. The Nuggets are also very good at not turning the ball over. They rank 5th for the least turnovers per game (12.8). By comparison, the Nets rank 24th (14.6). The Nuggets should be able to go into Barclays and take this game pretty easily and cover.

Spread: Nuggets -3.5

O/U: Under 225.5

Winner: Nuggets
