NBA Hit or Miss March 18th, 2019

I am officially done betting on the Lakers.

Miami Heat @ Oklahoma City Thunder

Spread: Thunder -5.5

O/U: 211.5

The Heat take on a vulnerable Thunder team tonight as a 5.5 point underdog. Russell Westbrook is suspended after receiving his 16 technical foul of the season, giving the Heat a huge advantage. The Heat have played great basketball as of late, going 7-3 in their last 10 games, while the Thunder have gone 4-6 over the same span. Miami is also the 6th best rebounding team in the NBA. With Westbrook out, someone else will have to fill his 10.1 rebounds per game. Miami is a better 3 point shooting team than the Thunder, averaging 35.6% or 10th best in the league. I am picking Miami to cover the spread and win the game.

Spread: Heat +5.5

O/U: Under 211.5

Winner: Heat

New York Knicks @ Toronto Raptors

Spread: Raptors -11.5

O/U: 213.5

As I’ve said before, the Knicks don't know how to play basketball. And I was right, since they proceeded to lose by 26 points to the Spurs. I don’t count the bounce-back win against the Lakers, because I’m done betting on the Lakers. So with the Raptors coming off a disappointing loss against the Pistons, I think they are looking for vengeance. And who better to do that against than the Knicks? The Knicks are still the worst shooting team in the NBA, averaging just 43.3%. The Raptors are 9th best at 46.9%. Kawhi Leonard is arguably a top 5 player in the NBA and will receive some MVP votes at the end of the season. There is no one on the Knicks roster that can matchup up with him. Expect Kawhi to have a big night and take the Raptors to win big.

Spread: Raptors -11.5

O/U: Over 213.5

Winner: Raptors

Golden State Warriors @ San Antonio Spurs

Spread: Warriors -2.5

O/U: 225.5

Kevin Durant is back on Monday and will be looking for his shot early. Anytime I’m given so few points with Golden State (the most talented roster of all time), I am going to take them. Although these are the two best shooting teams the NBA, the Warriors are still a full percentage point above the Spurs. The Warriors are also the 7th best rebounding team in the league at 46.6 boards per game. The Spurs are 22nd at 44.6. Golden State just flat out has the better team (like always). They have won two games in a row and are starting to get into a scary rhythm. Take the Warriors to cover. This should not be close.

Spread: Warriors -2.5

O/U: Over 225.5

Winner: Warriors

Betting mastermind. Didn't have the height or talent for sports but I can talk and pick them like a champ.
