NBA Hit or Miss March 26th, 2019

There is no place below rock bottom.

Boston Celtics @ Cleveland Cavaliers

Spread: Celtics -5.5

O/U: 216.0

Jayson Tatum will be back in the lineup tonight for the Boston Celtics, but that shouldn’t make much of a difference. Tatum or not, the Celtics will demolish the Cavs tonight. Boston is the 6th best 3 point shooting team in the NBA at 36.3% and rank 5th in total made 3 point field goals (12.7) per game. On top of that, the Celtics have the 5th best defensive rating, 107.4 on the season, while recording the 4th most steals per game (8.6). The Boston Celtics will need to take a hard look in the mirror if the Cavs hangaround for more than half a quarter. I don’t think this game is going to be close. The Celtics will win by 15 or more. Take the Celtics to win and cover easily.

MY PICKS

Spread: Celtics -5.5

O/U: Over 216.0

Winner: Boston Celtics

Orlando Magic @ Miami Heat

Spread: Heat -4.5

O/U: 205.0

The Miami Heat have been playing great basketball as of late. Winning 9 of their last 12 games and surging into a playoff spot. Miami has the 6th best defensive rating in the NBA at 107.5. Erik Spoelstra is one of the best defensive coaches in the league and I believe will draw up the perfect game plan against the Magic. Orlando is one of the worst true shooting teams in the league, averaging 54.7% (28th). I don't think the Magic have enough firepower to beat the Heat at home. I am picking the Heat to win and cover the spread.

MY PICKS

Spread: Heat -4.5

O/U: Over 205.0

Winner: Miami Heat

Sacramento Kings @ Dallas Mavericks

Spread: Kings -1.5

O/U: 231.5

The Kings have found their way back into my good graces after their awful loss to the Brooklyn Nets (still mad though). Even though Sacramento are only the 9th seed in the West, they have been one of the most surprising teams all season. Despite such a young core, they are already one of the best 3 point shooting teams in the league, averaging a terrific 37.4% which is good enough for 4th. Meanwhile, the Mavs are near the bottom of that list only shooting 34.2, which is 26th. The Kings are also the fastest paced team in the league, averaging 103.0 possessions per game. They should be able to run up the score on the Mavs, who only shoot 44.7% as a team, 26th in the NBA. I am taking the Kings to pull off the victory on the road and cover against the Mavs.

Betting mastermind. Didn't have the height or talent for sports but I can talk and pick them like a champ.
