NBA Hit or Miss April 2nd, 2019

The Knicks have finally beat me… record against them is now 6-1.

Houston Rockets @ Sacramento Kings

Spread: Rockets -5.0

O/U: 226.5

The Kings are one of the best teams against the spread this season. They have an incredible 44-31-2 record ATS, while the Rockets have a losing record of 36-38-3. The Kings have been one of the better stories this season; we are seeing a young team start to make noise. Their 24-12-2 record ATS at home is among the best in the NBA. They are a top 5 three point shooting team at 37.9% (4th). If they shoot well from behind the arc, I think they can pull out a win at home against the Rockets. Last time the two teams played, the Rockets won 119-108 in Houston. Now in Sacramento, the Kings should keep the game closer. I am taking the Kings to cover and pull off the upset.

Spread: Kings +5.0

O/U: Under 226.5

Winner: Sacramento Kings

Denver Nuggets @ Golden State Warriors

Spread: Warriors -8.0

O/U: 220.5

Both the Nuggets and the Warriors are in full force tonight when the 2 top seeds in the west battle. The Nuggets have been unable to cover in 4 of their last 5 games and are not the team we saw in the beginning of the season. They lost to the Wizards on their home court. That is pretty inexcusable this season. The Warriors have covered in 2 of their last 3 games and are starting to get into playoff mode. I think the Warriors will have one of those nights in Oracle where they can’t miss a shot. I expect both Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant to score 30 points and blowout the Nuggets. Warriors cover and win in Oracle.

Spread: Warriors -8.0

O/U: Over 220.5

Winner: Golden State Warriors

Los Angeles Lakers @ Houston Rockets

Spread: Thunder -13.0

O/U: 225.0

The Lakers will be playing without Lebron, Lonzo, Ingram, Hart, and Chandler against the Thunder, leaving them virtually no chance in hell to be competitive. The Thunder are still one of the best rebounding teams in the NBA. They’re 3rd in total rebounds at an average of 47.8 per game. And they lead the league in offensive rebounds per game, at 12.4. With Tyson Chandler not playing there is no one to battle Steven Adams in the paint. Let’s not pretend like Kyle Kuzma and Rajon Rondo will have enough firepower to matchup with Paul George and Russell Westbrook. I don’t see this game being close at all and urge you to take the Thunder to win and cover.

Spread: Thunder -13.0

O/U: Under 225.0

Winner: Oklahoma City Thunder
