NBA Hit or Miss April 18th, 2019

Celtics saved our ass with a late game surge.

Philadelphia 76ers @ Brooklyn Nets

Spread: 76ers -3.5

O/U: 227.5

After complete annihilation of the Nets in Game 2, the Sixers are going to really stomp on their necks tonight. Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons have heard all the noise about them not being able to win with all this team’s talent, and they are not happy about it. Tonight they are going to make a massive statement and run the Nets right out of Brooklyn. Simmons posted a very impressive triple-double in Game 2, and I think he is going to produce back-to-back. While it’ll be the second game in a row Simmons records a triple-double, Joel Embiid will score 35+ after putting up 23 the other night. Those two guys alone are scary enough; then add on Jimmy Butler, Tobias Harris and Boban Marjanovic. This team is just flat out too talented for the Nets. Game 1 was a fluke loss, and the Sixers will win and cover easily tonight.

Denver Nuggets @ San Antonio Spurs

Spread: Spurs -3.5

O/U: 210.5

I still refuse to believe that the Spurs did not cover in Game 2. To have a spread of +7.0 and at one point have a 19 point lead, it’s surreal to think they still didn't fucking cover. They owe me money, straight up. Despite that, I am going to ride with them one more time and say that they will cover tonight as the favorite. They were one of the best home teams in the league this season with a record of 32-9 in San Antonio. Plus, I can only imagine how bad Pop was on the team the past few days after that loss in Denver. The Spurs should be up 2-0 going home to San Antonio, but instead the series is tied. They are going to come out pissed off and try to blow the roof off of the AT&T Center. I don't see Jamal Murray having a repeat performance, so I am taking the Spurs to win and cover tonight.

Golden State Warriors @ Los Angeles Clippers

Spread: Warriors -8.5

O/U: 236.5

After DeMarcus Cousins went down with a quad injury and the Warriors blew a 31 point lead, the series now heads to the Staples Center tied 1-1. After being embarrassed in front of their home fans, I don't think there is a chance the Warriors let this one go. With the talent level the Warriors have, they are still one of the greatest teams this league has ever seen. Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant are going to come right out the gate shooting the lights out just like last game, except this time there is no way they are giving up a lead. This game is going to end up being the 20+ point victory that Game 2 should have been. The Warriors win and cover tonight in Los Angeles.

Betting mastermind. Didn't have the height or talent for sports but I can talk and pick them like a champ.
