I don’t know how the Pistons were capable of such a horrendous 2nd half performance last night.
Orlando Magic @ Toronto Raptors
Spread: Raptors -11.0
Toronto has won the last 3 games of this series after the Magic came away with a shocking victory in Game 1. Although I don’t think Orlando has the “magic” in them to take a second game away from the Raptors, I am confident they are going to cover the 11 points tonight. So far there is a pattern in this series, that being close game, blowout, close game, blowout. That leads me to believe this is going to be another close game. Especially with the Magic on the brink of elimination, they are going to play their hardest and make Toronto sweat. As I said, I think the Raptors will win, but that the Magic will cover the spread.
Spread: Magic +11.0
O/U: Over 206.0
Winner: Toronto Raptors
San Antonio Spurs @ Denver Nuggets
Spread: Nuggets -5.5
This has really been the only competitive series in the playoffs so far, and it will continue to be that way tonight. I believe the Spurs are going to win this series, and that will start with another road win tonight. San Antonio has simply looked like the better team all series, just consistently over matching the Nuggets. The Spurs should both cover the spread and win this game outright. San Antonio is coming off of a Game 4 win where they only shot 29% from behind the arc. Considering they were the best shooting team from behind the three point line in the 2018-19 season at 39%, they should be able to hit the reset button there and do far better tonight. Although Denver’s Jokic has been playing amazing basketball, averaging nearly a triple double, he seems to be playing all by himself. The rest of the Nuggets team hasn’t been playing their best basketball, and that is going to cost them in tonight's game. Spurs shall cover the 5.5 spread and win this game.
Spread: Spurs +5.5
O/U: Under 211.0
Winner: San Antonio Spurs
Oklahoma City Thunder @ Portland Trail Blazers
Spread: Blazers -4.0
This is the biggest shock of the playoffs so far. I thought the Thunder were talented enough to be the team to knock off the Blazers, but that hasn’t been close to the case. Damian Lillard and company have looked like legitimate threats in the Western Conference and are proving they are not to be overlooked. The Blazers shot an astonishing 43% from three point land in Game 4 and 96% from the free throw line. It is nearly impossible to beat a team that is consistently making both their free throws and their three pointers. AND, Portland is controlling the inside game as well, as they outscored the Thunder 36 to 22 in the paint last time out. The Thunder have not been able to get an advantage anywhere on the court and it has absolutely destroyed their chances. I think tonight is the last we are going to see of the Thunder. The Blazers should win and cover.
Spread: Blazers -4.0
O/U: Under 221.0
Winner: Portland Trail Blazers
