MLB Hit or Miss May 13th, 2019

Still killing this baseball shit, 13 out of the last 15 correct. Let’s keep it going.

Baltimore Orioles @ New York Yankees

Starting Pitching: David Hess vs Luis Cessa

O/U: 8/5

The New York Yankees have won 7 of their last 10 games, including winning the series against the AL East leading Rays. The Yankees have been one of the bigger surprises this season as they have been loaded with injuries. Tonight they will get the big bat of Aaron Hicks back in the lineup, who will provide them with a much needed offensive boost. The Orioles, as we know by now, are a joke of a team. Tonight’s pitcher David Hess owns a 5.50 ERA on the season and you don’t last long in this league with numbers like that. Well in his case he is lucky he plays in Baltimore, where that might be the best in the rotation. Yanks will win this easy in the Bronx, so easy I’d even take the -1.5 spread.

O/U: Over 8.5

Winners: Yankees -250

Houston Astros @ Detroit Tigers

Starting Pitching: Brad Peacock vs Matthew Boyd

O/U: 8.5

I just get a smile on my face when the moneyline for the Astros is better than -200. Might as well be free money, and against a team like the Tigers, highway robbery. Houston has been on fire winning 8 of their last 10. Plus, they have the best offense in the MLB. The Astros rank first in AVG, OBP, SLG, and OPS. On top of that, they are 2nd in total home runs hit with 75. If that wasn’t enough to convince you, their pitching might. The Houston rotation ranks 6th in ERA (3.64), 1st in WHIP (1.04) and 3rd in opponents AVG (.207). This team has been amazing and there is zero reason not to bet on them tonight and for the rest of the series.

O/U: Over 8.5

Winners: Astros -165

Pittsburgh Pirates @ Arizona Diamondbacks

Starting Pitching: Nick Kingham vs Robbie Ray

O/U: 9.0

The Diamondbacks swept the Pirates back in April in Pittsburgh 4 games to 0. However, the Pirates have been on a heater the past 2 weeks, winning 3 straight and 7 of their last 10 games. Arizona’s starting pitcher tonight Robbie Ray averages more than a walk every other inning, and we know that giving away free base runners like that leads to disaster. I think the Pirates are going to continue their hot streak and get just enough production out of their lineup to pull off the win in the desert.

O/U: Under 9.0

Winners: Pirates +155

Betting mastermind. Didn't have the height or talent for sports but I can talk and pick them like a champ.
