I know Game 7 of the Stanley Cup is tonight, but get excited for baseball too.
St. Louis Cardinals @ Miami Marlins
Starting Pitching: Miles Mikolas vs Jordan Yamamoto
The Miami Marlins are on a 6 game losing streak and I only see it continuing tonight. St. Louis may not be looking great right now, but they are still far better than Miami. The Marlins will be sending out pitcher Jordan Yamamoto who will be making his MLB debut tonight. I think the lights are going to be a little too bright for the 23 year old and the Cardinals offense will take advantage. The Cardinals are middle of the pack with a team batting average of .247 and on base percentage of .326. St. Louis is also on a 2 game winning streak so they are on a miniature roll at the moment. I am taking the Cardinals tonight to top the Marlins.
O/U: Over 8.0
Winners: Cardinals -185
Milwaukee Brewers @ Houston Astros
Starting Pitching: Brandon Woodruff vs Justin Verlander
It’s that time of the week that Justin Verlander takes the mound and looks to dominate. Verlander still looks like the man we have seen the past few years and is putting together a CY Young resume. 2.31 ERA and 110 Ks through 93.2 innings is incredible. On top of that he has only allowed 50 hits in that same time. I know the Brewers have a very dangerous offense but I always tend to go with the big time arm in these games. Then Verlander also has the help of his offense who is probably the best in the league. Houston ranks 2nd in BAA, OBO, SLG, and OPS. I am taking the Astros all the way tonight and I’m not looking back.
O/U: Under 7.5
Winners: Astros -140
Seattle Mariners @ Minnesota Twins
Starting Pitching: Gerson Bautista vs Jose Berrios
Welp, here it is, the lock of the night. The Twins are going to fuck up the Mariners tonight. Jose Berrios is taking the mound for the Twins and he has looked incredible recently. Berrios has only allowed 5 runs in his last 3 starts and has struck out 18 at the same time. But where the Twins are going to win this game is the offense. In my mind they are the second best offense in baseball behind the Astros, but still amazing. They are 1st in BAA, SLG, OPS and home runs hit this season. The Mariners have the second worst ERA in the league at 5.31 so this pitching staff is going to have a long night. I am taking the Twins to win and to cover the -1.5 spread.
O/U: Under 9.5
Winners: Twins -250
