After a weekend of spending nearly all my money, it’s time to win some back.
New York Mets @ Philadelphia Phillies
Starting Pitching: Stephen Matz vs Zach Eflkin
Well these are the Mets I know and absolutely despise. This team is an absolute dumpster fire and it is almost art at this point. They have a tough task ahead of them tonight playing against the 2nd place Phillies and starting pitcher Zach Eflkin. Although his win loss record doesn’t pop off the page (6-7), he has been pitching pretty well this year. 2.83 ERA and a 1.16 WHIP. Anything under 3.00 ERA is very impressive and going against the Mets it looks like under 2.00 to them. Aside from rookie Pete Alonso, there is not much to write home about this team so I am not even going to waste my words. The Phillies are going to beat the Mets tonight and break the hearts of more mets fans around the world.
O/U: Under 10.0
Winners: Phillies -130
Chicago White Sox @ Boston Red Sox
Starting Pitching: Lucas Giolito vs Eduardo Rodriguez
The Boston Red Sox are another team that aren’t looking so hot right now losing 2 straight games, but they are still a very good team. With Eduardo Rodriguez on the mound tonight, who hasn’t lost a game since June 9th, I think they have a huge advantage. The White Sox have been less than impressive on the offensive end this season and I don’t think they can keep up. Chicago only averages 4.3 runs per game (24th) while Boston average 5.4 (6th). The Red Sox also the third most hits per game with 9.3, and you guys know I love me some team that get baserunner. I think the Red Sox get back on the right track here and get this win at home over the White Sox.
O/U: Over 9.0
Winners: Red Sox -180
Kansas City Royals @ Cleveland Indians
Starting Pitching: Brad Keller vs Adam Plutko
This is an easy pick because Kansas City is just not a good team. They have a 27-51 record so far this season, so they are on pace to lose over 100 games this year. You never like to see a team do this poorly, but it won’t stop me from betting against them. Cleveland is one of the best pitching staff this year and have been shutting down opposing teams all year. They have the best ERA in the MLB at 3.84, 4th best WHIP, and 4th best K/9 at 9.60. This pitching staff has been so important because the offense has been very shaky due to injuries but Terry Francona is such a great manager that this team has been able to keep within striking distance to the Twins. I think the Indians pitching will continue the dominance and get the team past the Royals here tonight.
O/U: Over 10.0
Winners: Indians -190
Betting mastermind. Didn't have the height or talent for sports but I can talk and pick them like a champ.
