MLB Hit or Miss June 3rd, 2019

Let’s kick this week off right with some W’s!

Houston Astros @ Seattle Mariners

Starting Pitching: Corbin Martin vs Wade LeBlanc

O/U: 10.0

Upset of the night coming right here in Seattle. The Astros are currently very vulnerable while a good number of their stars are out on the IL. No Correa, Springer, or Altuve in the lineup gives the Mariners there best chance at taking the game and even the series away from Houston. The Astros have Corbin Martin on the mound tonight and he hasn’t seen the field a lot this year. Only pitching in 16.1 innings and in that time he owns a 5.51 ERA, and has only rung up 16 batters to the 9 he walked. I think this is the night we see Seattle, who is second in the league in home runs hit (106) beat down on the Astros. Take the Mariners with a huge smile on your face.

MY PICKS

O/U: Under 10.0

Winners: Mariners +125

Los Angeles Dodgers @ Arizona Diamondbacks

Starting Pitching: Walker Buehler vs Robbie Ray

O/U: 8.5

There is no way I'm betting against the Dodgers right now. 9-1 in their last 10 games and they have won 5 straight. The pitching staff has been playing unbelievable, only allowing 6 runs in their last 4 games. As a team they are 3rd in ERA (3.49), 2nd in WHIP (1.10), and 3rd in opposing teams batting average (.228). Obviously a lot of these stats are coming from their strength of the starting pitchers, but the bullpen has been holding up their end of the bargain as well. Arizona, although having a decent season in their own right, just don’t have the talent top to bottom the Dodgers do. I am taking L.A all day everyday.

MY PICKS

O/U: Over 8.5

Winners: Dodgers -145

Philadelphia Phillies @ San Diego Padres

Starting Pitching: Aaron Nola vs Eric Laurer

O/U: 7.5

The Phillies need to prove something this game after being shut out by the Dodgers. Tonight they have exactly what they want with Aaron Nola on the mound. Although he isn't having a great individual season, he has a 6-0 record. So when Nola is on the mound the Phillies rack up wins. The Padres have been less than stellar at home this season, only posting a 15-16 record at PETCO Park. With Eric Lauren starting for the Padres, this is a match up the Phillies can take advantage of. He only has a 4.45 ERA and has allowed 60 hits on the season. I think the Phillies are taking game one tonight in San Diego.

MY PICKS

O/U: Over 7.5

Winners: Phillies -140

Betting mastermind. Didn't have the height or talent for sports but I can talk and pick them like a champ.
