Back from the weekend and we are coming out swinging.
Atlanta Braves @ Washington Nationals
Starting Pitching: Dallas Keuchel vs Patrick Corbin
Neither team has been impressive as of late, but I think the Braves still have the better team. Dallas Keuchel is still working to get into mid-season form, but I think he will have a nice start tonight. Last start he struck out 12 batters in 6 innings and only allowed 2 runs. Behind him he also has a top 10 offense that is 7th in BAA, 6th in OBP and 6th in OPS. I think getting the Braves as the underdog tonight is a great value at +135 and should be jumped on. I am taking the Braves to win on the road in D.C and extend their NL East lead.
O/U: Under 9.5
Winners: Braves +135
Arizona Diamondbacks @ Miami Marlins
Starting Pitching: Merrill Kelly vs Caleb Smith
Even with Caleb Smith on the mound for the Marlins, I am having a hard time picking them to beat Arizona. Miami is still 23 games below .500 and have the worst offensive numbers in the league. The Diamondbacks however have a top 10 offensive in the league and have more of a chance to put runs on the board. I really just don’t trust Miami enough to put money on them as the favorite against any team outside of Baltimore and Detroit, so betting on them makes me uneasy. The value is better with Arizona and that is why I am rolling with the DBacks.
O/U: Over 7.5
Winners: Diamondbacks +105
Los Angeles Dodgers @ Colorado Rockies
Starting Pitching: Kenta Maeda vs Jon Gray
The Rockies have been in a slump for the past few weeks and are now battling the Dodgers, who have the best record in baseball. LA has Kenta Maeda on the mound tonight and he has been nothing short of great for the past month and a half. Kenta hasn’t allowed more than 3 earned runs in a single start since June 11th, and last time out he struck out 7 batters in just 4 innings of work. All things considered, the fact that the Dodgers are only a -130 favorite is shocking to me and it is the best value you are going to find tonight. I am taking Los Angeles to beat Colorado on their home field, and quite easily at that.
O/U: Under 13.0
Winners: Dodgers -130
Betting mastermind. Didn't have the height or talent for sports but I can talk and pick them like a champ.
