MLB Hit or Miss August 15th, 2019

8-1 on the week, bitches!!!!!!

Chicago Cubs @ Philadelphia Phillies

Starting Pitching: Yu Darvish vs Drew Smyly

O/U: 9.5

The Phillies are looking to complete the sweep of the Chicago Cubs, and I think they will finish the job. I don’t trust Yu Darvish on the mound this season with his dreadful 4.43 ERA, and the Phillies offense is coming off an impressive 11 run onslaught. The Phillies also have a winning record of 36-32 with games outside of their own division. I think Chicago is going to put up a fight, but I have the Phillies edging them out in the end and winning tonight as the home underdogs.

O/U: Over 9.5

Winners: Phillies +130

St. Louis Cardinals @ Cincinnati Reds

Starting Pitching: Michael Wacha vs Sonny Gray

O/U: 9.5

The Cardinals are one of the hottest teams in the league over this past week, winning 5 straight games with their outstanding pitching. In that 5 game stretch, they only allowed an average of 2.5 runs per game, with the last 2 being shutouts. The Reds have been on the other end of the stick, losing 4 straight games and allowing 17 runs their last time out against the Nationals. St. Louis hasn’t shown many signs this year of being affected by fatigue, as they have a 56-41 record in games with no day off in between. With the Cardinals playing great baseball, I have to continue to put my stock in them.

O/U: Under 9.5

Winners: Cardinals +140

Houston Astros @ Oakland Athletics

Starting Pitching: Aaron Sanchez vs Mike Fiers

O/U: 10.0

The Astros have lost back to back games, and I don’t see them losing a third. Houston still has the best lineup from top to bottom in the league, so I will pick them on any given night. So when I see a line at -120, I have to jump on it. They have the best batting average and the best on base percentage in the entire MLB, and I think they will get plenty of chances to put runs on the board. So like I always do, I have to take the Astros in Oakland.

O/U: Over 10.0

Winners: Astros -120

Betting mastermind. Didn't have the height or talent for sports but I can talk and pick them like a champ.
