MLB Hit or Miss August 8th, 2019

Well, time to jump right back up on this horse.

Chicago Cubs @ Cincinnati Reds

Starting Pitching: Cole Hamels vs Alex Wood

O/U: 9.5

With the Cubs having Cole Hamels on the mound tonight, I think that gives them the clear advantage. He has an ERA under 3.00 and has struck out 103 batters in 104 innings. The Cubs have been hot, winning 7 of their last 10. I just don’t think the Reds can keep up tonight, so I am taking the Cubbies as a nice value pick.

O/U: Over 9.5

Winners: Cubs -125

Atlanta Braves @ Miami Marlins

Starting Pitching: Dallas Keuchel vs Elieser Hernandez

O/U: 8.5

The Marlins are looking as bad as they have all season, losing 6 straight games and 8 of their past 10. With Dallas Keuchel on the mound and just clearly having the better team, I think this is fairly easy win for the 1st place Braves. It may not be the best pick in terms of value, but it is a good pick in terms of winning money. That is why I have mine on the Braves tonight in Miami.

O/U: Over 8.5

Winners: Braves -190

Colorado Rockies @ San Diego Padres

Starting Pitching: Jon Gray vs Eric Lauer

O/U: 8.5

Battle of the two worst teams in the NL West tonight and it should be a mediocre one. I think the Rockies have the advantage tonight because I just think they have the better lineup and I like Jon Gray over Eric Lauer. The Rockies have been very steady on offense all season, ranking top 10 in runs per games and team BAA, but they haven’t been able to rack up wins. However, I think they will pick up the win tonight against the Padres on the road.

O/U: Over 8.5

Winners: Rockies +105

Betting mastermind. Didn't have the height or talent for sports but I can talk and pick them like a champ.
