We’ve already got a positive start this week and we’re gonna keep pushing up.
Boston Red Sox @ Toronto Blue Jays
Starting Pitching: Nathan Eovaldi vs T.J. Zeuch
Yeah yeah. I know the Red Sox are not looking their best right now. But, I will still confidently say they are better than the Blue Jays. Toronto has lost 7 straight games and 9 out of their last 10. On the mound tonight for the Blue Jays is T.J. Zeuch, who has only pitched in 4.0 innings this season. Tonight, he is going against one of the best offenses in the MLB. Boston currently ranks 2nd In BAA, 2nd OBP, 4th SLG, and 4th in OPS. It is pretty crazy that a team this good is going to miss the playoffs, but they still destroy bad teams, and Toronto is a bad team. I am taking the Red Sox tonight against the Jays.
O/U: Over 10.5
Winners: Red Sox -155
Arizona Diamondbacks @ New York Mets
Starting Pitching: Zach Gallen vs Zack Wheeler
Yup, I took them last night and I am going to double down tonight. I have the Mets beating the Diamondbacks in Queens again. In Mets pitcher Zack Wheeler’s last 2 games, he has pitched 11.0 innings and has only allowed 2 earned runs. Wheeler is in a groove right now and should be able to have another quality start against this cold Arizona offense. The Diamondbacks have only scored 7 total runs in their past 3 games, so clearly the offense is not clicking at all. I believe the Mets are taking this game again, especially since they are still in this playoff push and looking to gain ground.
O/U: Over 8.0
Winners: Mets -125
St. Louis Cardinals @ Colorado Rockies
Starting Pitching: Michael Wacha vs Chi Chi Gonzalez
I am surprised that the moneyline is so low with a guy like Chi Chi Gonzalez on the mound for the Rockies. He has a 7.29 ERA in 42.0 innings pitched and has walked more batters than he has struckout. This entire pick is based on the fact that I think the Cardinals - a playoff team - are going to demolish this guy. I will never put my money on a guy with an ERA over 5.00, but I will always put my money against that same man. That is why I have the Cardinals winning this one and even covering the -1.5 spread.
O/U: Under 13.5
Winners: Cardinals -150
